Temporary investments are documents that are short term such as negotiable certificates of deposits, treasury bonds, etc. securities of a like government bonds also fall in the short-term investments.

All these investments can be for a time which is temporary, rather than having the cash. Temporary investments can easily become effective if the financial needs require.

Temporary investments or quickly achievable, these are investments that become effective when it is necessary, this may take a year or a full course of operations. When it is said to be negotiable quickly means that the sale of these is easily done.

Marketable securities: These are the instruments that represent the properties actions as may be normal actions, or other equity securities. What are convertible bonds, treasury stock, redeemable shares do not fall between the securities.

The term negotiable term investments means that they are equity securities that handle a great market. What are the restricted stock markets are weak or not covered by the term negotiable.
